Renting the Fortinet FortiGate 501E

The FortiGate 501E is the largest firewall in the rental range: 36 Gbps of firewall throughput, 7.9 Gbps of IPS, 5 Gbps of NGFW and 4.7 Gbps of threat protection, with 20 Gbps of IPsec VPN and eight million concurrent sessions. It has two 10 GE SFP+ slots, eight GE SFP slots and eight GE RJ45 ports, plus onboard SSD storage for local logging.

It is the firewall we specify for large events, venues and temporary data-centre or broadcast networks, where thousands of users, several segregated networks and full inspection all have to run at once. The 10 GE and fibre ports let it sit directly at a fibre core rather than behind a converter.

We configure it before delivery to your policy or a standard event template, and an engineer can support it on site. Rates start at AED 1,500 per day.

How does the FortiGate 501E compare with the 200E?

The 501E has nearly twice the firewall throughput (36 Gbps), 10 GE SFP+ uplinks and onboard log storage. Choose it for large events or when full threat inspection must run at high throughput; the 200E covers mid-size deployments at AED 1,000 per day.

Can it connect directly to fibre?

Yes. It has two 10 GE SFP+ slots and eight 1 GE SFP slots, so it connects to fibre uplinks and switch cores without media converters.

What is the minimum rental period?

One day, and this item is quoted on a day rate. For longer commissioning or handover phases, contact us and we will price the full period against your project rather than billing day by day. Rates shown are indicative, per unit and exclude VAT.

How quickly can this be delivered?

Plan on one to two days between confirmed order and delivery across the UAE. That window is the pre-delivery configuration work: imaging, enrolment and lockdown are completed before dispatch rather than at your site. Larger quantities or upcountry locations may need longer, so share your dates early.
