IT Assessment & Planning UAE: What IP Care Covers

An IP Care IT assessment is a 360° health check across infrastructure, applications, security, operations, cost and talent. It gives leadership an honest, benchmarked view.

We use industry frameworks and UAE-focused diagnostics to evaluate your setup against current best practice.

Most assessments are triggered by one of a few situations: a new leadership team wanting an independent baseline, a renewal or procurement decision that needs evidence behind it, an incident or near-miss that exposed a blind spot, or a board asking for assurance before a bigger investment. We scope the assessment to the decision it needs to support, rather than running a generic checklist.

The remediation roadmap that comes out the other end is deliberately staged. Quick wins are things your own team can usually action directly. Strategic moves, and any transformation bets that involve replacing legacy systems, migrating to cloud, or automating manual process, are handed off into a Technology Strategy or Digital Transformation engagement so the assessment does not end as a report nobody actions.

Output is a prioritised remediation plan with quick wins (0-90 days), strategic moves (3-12 months) and transformation bets (12-36 months).

Questions & Answers

Frequently Asked Questions

What does an IT assessment cover?

A typical assessment reviews your infrastructure, network, applications, security posture and cloud setup, then compares the current state against your business goals. You get a ranked list of gaps and risks and a costed plan to fix them.

How is an assessment different from ongoing monitoring?

An assessment is a point-in-time deep review that produces a roadmap; monitoring is continuous. Many clients start with an assessment to set priorities, then move to managed monitoring once the gaps are closed.

Will the report make sense to non-technical managers?

Yes. We write findings for two audiences, a technical section for your engineers and a clear summary with priorities and costs for management and the board.

How long does an IT assessment take?

A focused assessment of a single environment is usually a couple of weeks; a broader, multi-site review takes longer. We scope the timeline with you before we start.

Do we have to use you for the remediation?

No. The roadmap is yours to use however you like. If you do want help executing it, the same team can deliver the fixes, since we run IT day to day.

What happens after the assessment, do you just hand over a report?

You get the findings and the roadmap regardless. Quick wins are usually actionable by your own team directly. For strategic moves we can scope a Technology Strategy engagement to turn the roadmap into a costed plan, and for transformation bets we can scope Digital Transformation delivery, but neither is required to use the assessment.

Should we start with an assessment or go straight to a technology strategy?

Start with an assessment if you do not have a current, evidence-based view of your infrastructure, security and cost position. If that picture already exists, we can move straight into strategy and treat the assessment as already done.
