Renting the HPE Aruba 1930 48G PoE+

This is the Aruba 1930 48G PoE+ switch: 48 gigabit PoE+ ports and four SFP+ uplinks, with a 370 W PoE budget and layer 2+ smart management. It is the large access switch in the rental range, used to power and connect many devices at once, such as access points, cameras and phones at an event or temporary office.

The 370 W budget is the figure to plan around. PoE+ devices can draw up to 30 W each, but most access points and cameras draw far less, so we add up the actual load for your deployment rather than assuming every port is at maximum. SFP+ uplinks connect it back to the core over fibre or high-speed copper.

Rates start at AED 400 per day. For smaller edge positions, the 24-port version is also available.

How many devices can the 48-port switch power over PoE?

The PoE budget is 370 W. Most access points and cameras draw well under the 30 W PoE+ maximum, so the practical number depends on your devices. Send us the list and we will check the budget.

Is this a layer 3 switch?

No. It is a layer 2+ smart-managed switch, suited to access-layer work. If you need routing between networks, pair it with a firewall or router.

What is the minimum rental period?

One day. Daily, weekly and monthly rates are available, and the weekly and monthly bands offer better value on anything running beyond a few days. Rates shown are indicative, per unit and exclude VAT.

How quickly can this be delivered?

Plan on one to two days between confirmed order and delivery across the UAE. That window is the pre-delivery configuration work: imaging, enrolment and lockdown are completed before dispatch rather than at your site. Larger quantities or upcountry locations may need longer, so share your dates early.
